A whimsical deco designed three sided ashtray; three hollow orb feet, three sets of disc 'buttons' and three arms for holding cigarettes - could also make for an excellent egg cup! Hand forged in solid sterling silver using an assemblage of original troqueles from the Spratling taller, then fully soldered and polished. A thoughtful and humorous design from William Spratling's first design period c.1931-1946. The Spratling taller produces a very limited run of ashtrays each year, exclusively allocated to OLD JEWELRY.
