Old Jewelry was thrilled to host the US debut of London-based artist and jeweler Gala Colivet-Dennison, who creates distinctly intuitive compositions in silver, gold, fossils and gems.

Colivet-Dennison approaches materials for their inherent qualities, both simple and extraordinary. The formal qualities of a gem, for example, its transparency, opacity, color, or radiance, leads to an instinctual mapping of where this stone should fall on the body. Each piece of citrine, or every segment of tusk, is a point of departure. From there, the metal is forged, to bear the stone in its place. Citrine is an important character in Gala’s work. Her striking and influential citrine rings are the lustrous precursor to the current gemmy wave. Her stylish compositions play the difference between materials, where gems hold onto light and silver refracts.

Gala's SHOWCASE of unique works in silver, gold, citrine, tusk, peridot and pearl closed but a few special works are available for viewing at OLD JEWELRY STORE alongside her four OPEN EDITION signature rings - knot ring, curve ring, citrine ring and soft citrine ring
